MediConCen has been named the Champion in the Finance and Insurance category at the Hong Kong regional round of the PolyU × Waterdrop International Future Challenge, a global innovation competition that attracted over 700 startup teams across seven regions.
The Hong Kong round focused on emerging technologies in fintech, insurtech, healthtech, and traveltech. MediConCen stood out for its AI-powered solutions that streamline insurance claims and automate medical billing, addressing long-standing inefficiencies in the industry.
The competition, organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in collaboration with Waterdrop and other industry partners, aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative technologies. Winning teams gain access to funding opportunities, incubation support, and international exposure.
MediConCen’s recognition in this challenge reinforces its position as a leading insurtech innovator in Asia, and opens doors to further collaboration and growth in the region.
